First Day of School

I tried.....

I think I am reasonably well read. I try to read a differently range of authors, and subjects, fiction and non. My dirty secert is an addiction to British chick lit. American sucks but because it is British I can't get enough. I also try to make a special effort to read Canadian fiction. One of this years Canada reads was Lullabies for Little Criminals by Heather O'Neil. I couldn't finish it... to depressing,and I think it was tainting my mind. I see enough dispair, hear too many sad stories to want more in my leisure time.....and actually I try not to get involved. If I do not really need to know why a patient is bizarre then I do not find out.

My baby is a little girl..

I'm surprisingly experiencing a lack of emotional about Maya entering the 'system'. Although with the Montessori school is slightly less institutionalized. Have I ever mentioned how I think the 'system' failed me.

I teared up slightly when we dropped her off and was eager to pick her up early in case she was in the depth of dispare... but otherwise I kinda am focused on other things right now. Did enjoy a trip to owen sound with nobody else offering their two cents about what we should be listening to on the radio. Maya only likes girl singers. And I got to linger at the health food store with out somebody begging for a treat. .... and I didn't have to answer endless questions all day but I know my freedom will be short lived.

Maya did great. We know she stamped dinosaurs on a pieace of paper, she played house with a girt named faith, what she had for lunch... and that's about it. She is quiet about what else she did. Whatever it is she is eager for more on Friday. She will be going three days a week.

Oh and in case anybody is interested she came home from kindergarten and nursed, now she can wean.

Giddy as a schoolgirl

So we sent Maya off to school this morning. She is going to J/K at the Montessori school down the street. For that last week she was been telling us how excited she is for school and can't wait to get etc, etc.
So last night we tell her she needs to have a bath so she will be clean for school in the morning. Then it started and in between great sobbing heaves she says, " I don't want go to school", "i won't like school", over and over. We managed to get her clean anyway and get to bed.
So after I read her a bedtime story and and sitting in bed with her so she will go to sleep, she finally says, " I think I do want to go to school daddy, I'm going to go and tell mommy". So she jumps out of bed and runs downstairs to tell Anne. Then she comes back upstairs and promptly falls asleep.

This morning she was quite excited and very cooperative the whole morning. We walked with her to the school, and Maya smiled the whole way. When we got there school she did as the teacher said, put her stuff where she was supposed to and then sat down to do an activity with the other kids. She didn't even look at us as we left. We were definitely more nervous then she was.

So our little girl has her first day of school. It feels a little strange.

Names

For ANOTHER baby related post....

Anybody got any boy names ....we are at a serious loss. We can not think of a name that is somewhat unique, has two syllables, is not boring, and we both agree on. If by some act of God the testicles seen on the u/s were actually very swollen female genitalia we are all set with a girl name but Lord we do need help with a boy name.

Naked

So if anybody wants to see my naked pregnancy shots, and the non naked ones for that matter let me know and I will send you a link. It is only good for one more week. I am pretty open so if you are interested in seeing my pregnancy breasts in all their glory this is your lucky day. Besides half of you would have seen me naked in change rooms, skinny dipping, me changing on the beach before.

Actually I'm kinda surprised at the amount of people who are not interested. Guess I'm not as hot as Luke makes me out to be.

Bigger Then a House

I'm at 38ish weeks. The midwife says I'm good to deliver at home, I got my hair cut, my legs waxed, the supplies are ready and waiting, I am in full force nesting instinct thus all we need is the baby to come. Actually, first.......

• Kathie needs to arrive.
• I have to finish nesting- the kitchen needs massive cleaning, etc. etc. If only Maya would co-operate and Luke would not grumble every time I ask him to help. Can I help it the only time to get some stuff done is late at night when it is cool and Maya is sleeping.
• I would really like to paint some furniture.
• Finnish sewing Maya's skirt.
• Make a few more receiving blankets.
• Make some muffins, cookies, meals to put in the freezer.
• Do a massive grocery shop for heavy stuff- again I need Luke to help.
• Complete my last shift at work on Friday.

Hope High school is nicer to you then the bear trying to eat you. Maybe somebody will save you..................but who???

Guilty

Feel slightly guilty parking in the expecting/ new babies parking spots as I feel like I am in better shape then the people who have to walk from the other side of the parking lot....... but then again maybe they should be walking from the other side of the parking lot.

Pay Attention

Now it has come to my attention that because I have babies at home rather then at the hospital people feel that I do not want visitors- that is INCORRECT.

The baby and I will want lots of visitors. If you can't come mail us a note. Are we not worth 52 cents?- or whatever it costs to mail a letter these days. It does not need to be right away- but within the first month. If you read this blog randomly I still expect a note.

When Maya was born we did not get enough visitors- 'close to Christmas,' 'Winter driving' what you really said was 'I do not care'. If we are related there is a special burden for a visit. Remember, this babe may provide a kidney to you in the future.

The Last Summer of You and Me

As I had enjoyed The sisterhood of the travelling pants series by Ann Brashares I was looking forward to see what she could do with an actual geared to adult novel as I had always thought some of her themes were a little mature for younger teens. However I should have not been so eager. I felt she delivered another young adult novel the only difference being her characters were mid twenties. The concept was interesting- but it could have been presented .....more. I felt the climax was a letdown and the follow-up disappointing. Like she had to tie up the lose end as quick as possible. Anyways- disappointed.
As well did not like the title.

In preparation for the new babe I have sorted through Maya's old diapers, gathered some 'new' used ones, bought some new ones at an actual in real life diaper store. The Extraordinary Baby Shoppe in Kitchener took $105 from me and I got one all in one- one size bum genius, four kissaluvs newborn diapers, and two bummis covers. Should be able to get good resale value as my purchases all retain their worth. It was great to talk to another person who knew all about cloth, and the answers to my questions.
I aim to have a two-three day supply of newborn diapers with four covers, and 25 newborn diapers. I have also bought a package of newborn diapers to get us through the first few days.

Second Generation Winner

Maya was the big winner at the fall fair this year. She entered one category and dominated. She had a little help...and the category was for kids age one to three so she is at the upper end but that's my girl!!
She was the sole winner for our family as I was too lazy to enter anything this year. Perhaps I will get my act together for Walkertons.

New Word

I learned a new word the other day.

Wigger- Defined as a person of Caucasian background whom acts as a black person.

Really I do not care if you identify culturally with the black culture and thus want to talk, walk dress as a black person in urban settings typically would....but please do not name your kids typical black names-- it is disrespectful to the black people. Let them have this independent cultural identity and we will keep the boring names.

Five More Pounds...

I can gain five more pounds and four weeks ( I think ) to go. I want to eat shamelessly for five more pounds. Thus total weight gain being 28 pounds. Apparently I was quite slim to begin with and am with acceptable boundaries. I want this baby to arrive around the 10th. My last day of work is the 31 of August. Due to Carrots surgery and unexpected car repairs I really need I can't flake off early.

Interesting point- when pregnant with Maya I developed a Linea negra, this one I'm blemish free. In fact, my stretch marks have not changed either. Feel like I'm a bit more swollen with fluid this time. As well, my right upper quadrant is numb and tingly- same has last time only a little more intense. My midwife assures me this is normal.

Zero for Two

Yesterday, to be a loving wife I bought Luke TWO presents.

1.The new nice white shirt was too big and I don't think I can take it back.
2.I thought a Mr. Potato Head Transformer would be cute and I would get a kiss. The response I did get " Oh you didn't get me one of those did you!!??"

Too Much Effort

We are getting maternity/family/ Maya photos done tonight by photography by Charlotte. In preparation I should have gotten my legs waxed but I'm too lazy to make a phone call for to book and appointment so I had to shave. Why do women bother, I have forgotten how much time and effort it takes vs. waxing every 4-6weeks. Now I just have to organize the clothing- again another bother- why can't we all just wear uniforms.

Over the Daft Punk Addiction

So as you can see, Anne and I made to the Daft Punk concert last night. It was amazing.
Since having married her, I have slowly brainwashed Anne into actually enjoying electronic music. I believe after last night I have accomplished that lofty goal. At least if this picture is anything to go by.

We took a wheelchair for Anne, as she is 8 months pregnant and wouldn't have been able to stand for the 4 hours or so we were there and also prevented her from being jostled by dancers. This was a great choice as Anne had the entire wheelchair seating to herself. She looked like they had cordoned off an dangerous offender though, all fenced in like that. :)
This is Sebastian and Kavinsky, they DJed before The Rapture played and afterwards again before Daft Punk. Although I really really enjoyed DP, these guys were the highlight of my evening. They music was very cool and as you can see I was right there seeing them set it up and mix it together. Also it was very raw, where as DP's music sounded more processed. The bass was so heavy my shirt was vibrating. Even Anne really enjoyed it. They were in then centre of the hall with the sound and light technicians, so a lot of the crowd never really realized that the music playing was from them. But the few hundred crowded around the booth was rocking out and having a great time. I really regret not getting more pics or video of them performing. Here is a video of pretty much what I saw though (here's another). Neither give you a real sense of the power of the music. Being 5 feet from them and see how its done was a great experience.
Then finally, Daft Punk came on. It was amazing to see them live. I can't really describe was it is like to see this in person. So awesome and so fun.
I do regret having incessantly see all of every should they have done for the past year, as it definitely took something away from this show, but it was still really really awesome.

Fireworks

Last night Luke and I had a little time to ourselves and there was fireworks- literally. The sinful gaming slots sponsored them for our date.

Cause sometimes i'm to lazy to get up and actually answer it. Or i'm nervous it is work and I would have to say no I can't come in.

Sometimes when I'm bored the phone will ring and I get all excited think about who it could be and the fabulous conversation we will have or the fun activities that will be planed as a result of the call.....................then it is a telemarketer.

Potter Post

So I finally finished the last Harry Potter book on the weekend and I would agree with the general sentiment that it was a very enjoyable book and really brought the series to a close in a satisfying manner.
Anne and I have only shared our thoughts briefly on it but we are both happy and sad that it is done. Now we need another series to share together.

Probably the saddest thing for me is that in read somewhere in an interview with Rowling, that she doesn't plan to right any more Fantasy fiction. While I have no dought whatever she writes next will be good. I do hope she does create a new universe sometime down the road. We will see I guess.

Soccer

This summer I have been playing a fair bit more than previous summers. As I am 30 in september I have been able to play regualrly in the 30+ soccer league as well as the usually rec league play. I also count the running around I do at Maya's soccer games.
This Saturday I finally was able to play in a 30+ tournament and we won! Yay. The level of play at these games is usually quite high and fast paced. My defence squad managed to shut down everything in the two games I played and our goalie maybe had a total of 5 shots on him.
The next major tourny is at pumpkinfest in october and I am very much looking forward to that.

Here is our soccer team. It is mostly fun leading them. Our kids are starting to get the whole ball in the net concept and thus we are losing 25 to zero. Not that anybody is keeping score. Unoffically we have a few VERY attentive ( loud) parents, whom are ready to sign their kids to a proffesional contract. Maya is still mostly focused on trying to get us to hug her and cuddle her durning the game.

The Potter

I completed the final installment last night- started it Monday. I read every word and did not skim- nasty habit.
Agree with others that this is a full fledged fantasy novel- which is not a theme I typically read unless Luke thinks I will like it. It was violent, again not something I like to read. Felt most of my questions were answered. Some of my gut feeling were correct about characters others not.
Did enjoy the series- but the first will always be my favorite, it has the largest fun factor.

Now if Luke could only read it so we could discuss.

Congrats to IAN and HEATHER

So Anne and I celebrated the marriage of Ian Repetski to Heather Sanderse on the weekend.
I was one of the groomsman so I was involved in a number of aspects, which was a first for me and quite fun. The wedding went perfect and the reception was a ton of fun.

The guys had been super nice to Ian the whole time leading up to the wedding. So at the end of the night we snatched him and threw him in the pool at the country club where the reception was held in order to at least cool the boy down a bit.

All in all it was an amazing event and I am sure they newlyweds will have a long, blissful marriage.

Jailed Kitty

Get the cat back from the vet- $630 ouch! Poor thing has to be confinded to a quiet room for two weeks. Problem is the only rooms that have door that shut are our room and the bathroom.

Amazed

Well I didn't know it was possible, I thought they just lived on forever or become drapes for painting or went to the salvation army to die. BUT we actually wore out a set of sheets.

Poor Kitty

Our cats have this nasty habit of getting outside and not wanting to come in. We have looks to prevent it, but sometimes they just get out. Sometimes they get out and I do not have the energy to catch them, sometimes they sneak out, and sometimes they run so fast we can't catch them.

Last night they got out and we didn't make it a priority to get them, thus this mooring, when Luke opened the porch door to leave for work Carrots ( the one on with his face partical covered by Mango) Carrots come staggering in bleeding from the mouth. Of course Luke has to go right away, can't even hold him while I check him out. So by myself I clean him up and determine he is missing teeth, has a large laceration on his lower lip, his jaw just isn't right, and he is way to lethargic to be normal.

So I take him to the vet, and to keep our loving carrots it is $400 to wire his broken jaw and observe him for a concussion. The vet thinks he was hit by a car.

9 looooong years

So today is mine and Anne's 9th wedding anniversary! Yay!
We are going to make this special day by.....ummmmm....we'll go...hmmmmm....
Well we haven't actually planned anything and Anne is actually working and we haven't bought any gifts for each other...
Oh well, I am sure we'll do something sometime :)

I have started re-reading sections of the Harry Potter series so I can be prepared for the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. In my rush to get through some novels to find out what happens I tend to miss details and due to the rapid reading I do not saver the story and thus forget. Unfortunately, I can not be out at midnight getting it- but I am excited none the less. I think the Wesley twins bite the dust.

Today while in Owen Sound I noticed a truck dropping off some porn magazines at the sex shop. What was interesting was that the truck is owned by the owner of Hanover's used children's stuff store.

Story Book Park

Here is Maya at Story Book Park in Owen Sound. She is riding a boat with Isaac, her buddy. Amazingly, she went on most of the rides- even a big girl ride. (paratrooper) She had so much fun that I bought a season pass. We will be going to Owen Sound alot this summer to visit the midwives and i figured she was at just the right age, it is nicely shaded and there is a little water park so why not. Maya especially liked feeding the deer. ( that's what she said when I asked her what she liked about story book park.) She was not so fond of the haunted house. Guess it was too scary for a 3 year old.

I want

I want organic pudding cups, and there is none at the store. I really do not know if it is a product that is made but I think it should be.

PlayRoom

This is the room formally known as our living room. Now Maya refers to it as her playroom. Lord knows how that happened.

The other day Maya wanted some Bran Flakes and I was ignoring her. Eventually I wandered into the kitchen and she had it all ready for me to help her. Silly

Black

I have been harassing everybody I know for maternity clothes- in fact even people I do not know, and mostly what I have been getting is black, black and more black.
I'm set for a funeral, multiple funerals.

The Future of the Internet

So we spend a lot of time on the Internet. I spend a lot of time fixing computers that have been damaged, infected, and destroyed by things on the Internet. I have always said that I think the current incarnation of the Internet is really an infantile version of what it's going to be like 25 to 50 years from now. Now I say such things without a clear conception of what it will be like in that future. I just know that it won't be quite like the wild west it is now, probably closer to the virtual world we sometimes see in movies, but not nearly so similar to real life.
Anyway, here is a talk and demo of something that i think shows how things are going to evolve with the internet. This photosynth (<- this is what he was using seriously check it out), basically takes available photos of something, puts them together to form a 3d image of of said thing, and alows to browse it usng those images.
Imagine being able to explore the Rockies virtually using a combination of high-res satellite imagry and video and photos people have taken on trips and posted on the internet. Imagine being able to do the same for any street in Tokyo or anywhere else.
You can already virtually explore San Franciso.

Rally Report

So this past weekend was the STPR that my friend Ian and I attend (or try to) annually.
As always, we had an excellent time, albeit with a few hiccups this year.

The weather was awesome the whole weekend, every year prior to this we have gotten rather soggy. But this year was amazing, with sunny skies and only slightly humid air.
The drive was quite good as well, no mishaps and we found the campsite quickly. The only trouble was finding the morning spectator stage we checked out. Once we found it though it was really awesome, we could see the cars trying to slow coming down a long straight, into a hairpin. Some overshot it, scaring the crap out the workings, and some made pretty wide turns. Very enjoyable.
The real disappointment was the evening spectating, which never occured. Keep in mind, this is rally so stage cancellations come with the terrory. However, having the the stage that goes by your spectator area cancelled twice really sucks when you have driven a long way to see it. But we found a couple to chat with so the 6 or so hours sitting in the woods passed by nicely.

So overall, I did have a good time as its really the only time of year I get some excellent quality time with one of my best friends and the area the rally takes place in is very nice.

Nature Vs Nurture

I'm wanting to get organized for the baby, I know I have lots of time but I also know how tired I will be getting. So I'm going through Mayas old clothes bins deciding what can be used for the boy baby, what should go to the thrift store, what I might be able to make a few bucks by selling, and what I should saving for future generations. A few items I'm unsure about so I consult with Luke. Thus....

With my unwillingness to cut hair that may end up curly like Mayas and Luke's acceptance of clothing that is purple, hello kitty themed, and has a few satin embellishments.....you got wonder how will this unnamed boy child make out.

Old

The other day I remarked to Maya that I was old, so she said "You just need more cream mommy"

Sweat

Thank goodness it has cooled down. For those whom do not know-and frankly I'm sure most do not care about my disability, I do have one. I have sweaty palms and feet.



When my feet sweat, I just generally take off my shoes, but then small objects stick to them. When taking off my shoes is not an option the sweat pools and slowly drops onto the floor. Crocs have proven to be not a practical choice in footwear. I also tend to slide out of slinky sandals.



My sweaty palms can be socially awkward. I do not shake hands. At work it is just plain frustrated since powdered gloves were banned. When writing I have to put tissues in my hands to avoid drips. Sometimes I think it has started to rain while I'm driving but no the rain has not dripped in the car, but my hands have dripped. I can never get a grip on jars to open.

Disappointed

Last night I saw some Cracker jack pop corn for sale and I had to have it. Very disappointed, next craving goes to Poppycock popcorn. Screw the cost, I'm worth it.

Crusin'

Maya Made

The other day I was walking home from the park and this baby swing was on the side of the road for pickup- Goods exchange week. I happen to be carrying a HEAVY little boy so I made Maya carry it home-4-5 blocks. Once home she made this double stroller for her kids. Imagine her excitement when it gets up on the swing set and she can give her kids a swing ride- much less a real baby.

Yep, there is a penis inside of me and I'm not even having sex. How wrong is that? We had an ultra sound last week, everything is fine, but the babe has testicles and a penis. I guess we did not join together and celebrate our marriage in December but early January. Slowly getting used to the idea. Even bought some boy clothes today. Started surfing ebay for boy themed diapers. Had a discussion with Maya, she cried for 10 minutes over the lost of her baby sister, at least we do not have to name the child lollipop now. I guess this means more presents when the baby is born cause we will need boy things. I'm not quite sure what is a boy thing, so I guess I will find out when all the presents are given to......

What a shame

According to the global advertising and marketing company BBDO, 60 per cent of Canadians between 48 and 59 read nothing while using the toilet. So thats why when I am working nights none of the other nurses understand why I get crusty when our magazine supply is limited.

Book

Anybody read Trans-Sister Radio? Really enjoined the story- did not expect the ending even though it was foreshadowed enough. I'm not literary enough to know if it is well written. Strong 'Female' characters much like the novel Midwives by the same author.
Am interested in the whole gender as a choice/ born with theme. Any suggestions of other works? Fiction, Non fiction.

Gooey Breakfast

As of last night Maya has a cold. Lots of snot running out.
So this morning she is eating breakfast and after eating a spoonful of porridge fills the spoon up again by blowing snot into it. Then she eats it. YUMMY!

Soccer Mom (and Dad)

So tonight Anne and I start our soccer career as coaches. Maya is playing in the local soccer league and Anne signed us up to be coaches. We are coaching Maya's team of 6 players and tonight we won't be playing but justing meeting the other parents and giving out jerseays and setting up a snack schedule.
One set of parents won't be there as they aren't in the area yet because they come for the summer after their NHL schedule is done and the kids are done school. Thats right, we have an NHL kid on our team. That should be interesting, apparently the whole extended family come for the games and its quite an event.
We just hope Maya participates.

Today I received a phone call from Julie cause a few minutes after I had left her house there were many sirens heard going out of town towards Hanover and she wanted to make sure we were OK.
Ahhhh just like Mommy.

Garage Sale Tales

Went garage saleing this morning. Locked keys in car, had to borrow the phone from the sale people. Luke had to come with the bike to show me where the key was taped. While I waited for him I hid behind the car and threw up. Exciting morning eh?

Got a sand box toy, shorts that are too small, Tommy shirt, and a Etch a sketch for Maya.

In other news I decided I was actually sick and not just pregnant and slept all day.

Bag Pipes

Some parents take there kids to see movies, some take them to see The Wiggles, some take their kids to a museum for an educational afternoon.............us, we take our kid to see a bagpipe concert.

For some unknown reason Maya adores Bagpipe music, she even has a CD we listen to on a regular bases. Today there was a big competition in town so being good parents took her to listen for a couple of hours. I have told her that when she gets older her and I can learn to play together. Pity our neighbours.

Technology

TV Protip: If you spend $3000 on a new 50" LCD or plasma TV, DO NOT complain when your $50 VCR from 5 years ago looks like crap on it. I really don't know why you bought the TV then. *sign*

On a side note, one of Tech Corps services now is home theatre setup. So I have been to a few peoples places now setting up the cables for their new TVs and stuff. Its pretty interesting and enjoyable. But people don't seem to realize you need HD definition sources to make you high definition plama TV look any good.

New Jammies

The Time Has Come..

This is a large pile of clothing that currently do not fit me due to my rapidly expanding waste line. Gone are ill fitting uniforms, shorts, shirts, closet items. This rather large pile does not represent pants nor sweaters even. Luke asked if I was sad and honestly if I never see most of those clothes again I would be happy. Wouldn't it be cool to get a whole new wardrobe- once I lost the weight of course.

I'm not naked, I actually purchased some brand new clothing the other day. Old Navy helped me part with my money via shorts, Capri's, blue tee shirt, white tee shirt. I also picked up a dressy top at thyme just cause. I got some used pants as well from value village. So I guess I am all set as a pregnant person. Although I still need a dressy dress.

As a pregnant person thus far I have gained 8 pounds- I really am only allowing myself 30 maximum. However I crave Wonderbars so I really must become more active to counteract the wonderbars. I am not giving up wonderbars.

DAFT PUNK

Well last summer Daft Punk started doing a world tour doing this concert. I was lamenting their lack of a Toronto show as I really really really wanted to see them after seeing some of the Coachella concert vids.
Well this year it looks like they are doing a North American Tour and Toronto IS on the list. And guess who has 2 tickets? ME! OHHH YEEAAHH.

So anyway its on August 5th and Anne really really really wants to go as well, but the pregnancy will probably not allow it. We will talk to the place and see if there are any options, but otherwise I need someone else to go with. I can't wait though. Its going to be soo awesome.

End of Futsal season

Well another season of Futsal has ended. I think my team ended up 4th or 5th out of 10 . We lost a great game last night 5-4 and had an amazing season overall.
We did decide over the weekend that Anne was just too pregnant to play anymore (she is a pretty rough player) and so she (very) sadly had to sit this last one out.
Outdoor should begin in June, assuming that enough people sign up, so may will be pretty empty.
New for me this year will be playing the 30+ outdoor league. I played a couple times for them last year and since I am technically "allowed" to play for them this year the guy who runs the local team really wanted me to play (not for my skills(z), just so they have enough players :P )
Its quite competitive and I look forward to it most of all I think. We play in places like Goderich and Kincardine and other close towns.

Preggers

So up until about 2 weeks ago, Anne was looking pretty normal, maybe a little pudgy. And only that when dressed up for soccer or a tight-ish shirt or sweater.
The suddenly, pop, she looks pregnant, not fat. I don't know if there's like this mental switch that allows us to suddenly see it, but there's that round belly swinging around for all to see.

Wierd

So I have made a chronic lack of posts in the last little while. I don't really have a good excuse, but I will blame the fact that I am actually working everyday.
So, so make up for it, my Xbox 360 now blogs for me! Obviously its auto-generated based on what I do with it, but its pretty good none the less.

Cravings

Yesterday I had a craving for fries, as I was in Owen Sound I went to the chip wagon beside the farmers market. Ordered a large , and yes, my arteries are clogging as we speak. Imagine my disappointment when I was handed a hot steaming container of McCain's fries. I thought they were fresh cut. Thus, I still have that craving... and for a Wonder bar. Anybody know on locally where I can get fresh cut fries in the winter??

The sadness overtakes me

On our counter for site visits of this site we have been averaging 2-3 visitors per day.

What Happened??

We once got 12-15.......have I no friends, family, acquaintances. I guess if this is my life I might as well never do facebook, it would take me years to get a respectable 35 friends.

So sad....

Tech Corps

I have been meaning to post this for a while but have been busy.
So I am currently self employed. I have joined forces with my friend Nathan (for whom I have been doing occational computer work for the poast few years) and now service the clients of his computer consulting business as well as the few customers I have built up myself.
On top of this I work out of his internet cafe and also deal with the home PC's people bring in for repair.
So far this has been quite busy.
So my company is called Tech Corps, and I still need to come up with a slogan and logo.
Its quite nice to be reguarlly setting up and fixing stuff again as I was feeling that I was losing my edge. It is taking a while to get back into the swing of things and be used to dealing with all sorts of people face to face, most of whom are quite frustrated before they even see me.

But I think this will be a very good thing and if the plans Nathan and I have have work out, the company should grow and be quite profitable.

Well I bought myself some new underwear...I guess I am set for my birthday.

Pregnancy Update

I'm at 16weeks now- four months. Not even halfway through, I know some woman just love being pregnant, I'm not one of them. I am a miserable pregnant person, I feel awful, do not want to do anything and frankly I'm happy to be in grump. So leave me alone and do not cross me.
Yes I'm still throwing up. Less nausea more actual vomiting episodes. My energy level is up and comes in spurts, otherwise all I want to do is watch movies. I'm starting to feel lightheaded and faint. Most likely dehydration. I will get my hemoglobin checked soon just to make sure.

On the positive side, I think I may have felt the babe move- or it could be gas. I have only gained three pounds, but I only have a few pairs of pants that fit. I'm in that awkward getting big look, but not quite pregnant stage. When I was pregnant with Maya people had really thought I had let myself go. Still playing soccer, only two more games....hope nobody notices my protruding belly until then. Of course I am playing with guys and guys are so unobservant.
